Challenge

Northport Fisheries has a niche. This nimble group of Alaska seafood marketers know one part of their customers' business very well. Their customer needs a product, fresh off the the boat, delicious Alaska seafood. Their customer needs to know availability pricing and a delivery promise, the rest is up to Northport. Logistics is Northport's business and they do this better than anyone, day in and day out, season after season. So when Northport needed a tool to make servicing their customers better they came to Orca Design Group to pull it together.

Objectives

Create a wholesale tool that allowed their customers to order fresh seasonal product on a weekly basis. The solution needed to enhance Northport Fisheries high level of service expertise and merge seemlessly with their current one-to-one personal style of marketing and make placing orders easily 24/7. A custom and highly functional client relation web tool was created. Their existing website was updated to a Web 3.0 content management system. The site is easily updated by their entire staff and the team blog is now the go to place on the web for up to the minute information about upcoming fisheries.

Solution

Website Strategy: Website Development. Once a content management system platform was chosen, menu structure was mapped out and functions were thoroughly discussed and agreed upon. New components were designed and developed to facilitate e-commerce for retail and wholesale customers.
