Wildcatch, a value-added seafood company and marketer, planned to introduce a new product to the petfood category - all natural and organic salmon jerky. Though there are a small handful of salmon products in this category, this product stands out significantly. The developers have long been on the forefront of bringing the healthiest and finest Alaska seafood to market in a holistic, organic and sustainable manner. Partnering with the native communities of Alaska, obtaining the Marine Stewardship Council certification for a sustainable fishery, using only organic ingredients and creating a truly human grade pet product sets a very high bar. SolutionBrand Design: Pulling from a very real story of dogs and Alaska, a proud sled dog, the Husky was chosen as the ambassador of this brand. The logo is meaningful and full if iconic description - the big dipper from the Alaskan State Flag, rolling snow-covered hills drenched in the colors of the Northern Lights - these create a colorful, yet simple, graphic icon that is both eyecatching and memorable to a shopper. After thorough research of the health-conscious pet treat category was explored and evaluted prioritized list of selling points were identified. |
