Social Media
Management

Brand-focused, managed digital communications build sustained impact—and get noticed by the people who need to find you.
We provide culturally aligned social media management, digital content, email, and communications partnership for Native-led, Tribal nations, and Native community-focused organizations.

Digital & Social Media

Social media management can be challenging and time-consuming. For Native American organizations, it carries its own unique set of challenges—cultural and mission sensitivity, authentic voice, expressed Indigeneity, and adherence to individual community values all require a careful balance to represent your organization well.

What we know is that one size does not fit all. Over the years we’ve partnered with organizations of different categories and sizes serving Native communities—championing program outreach to bison ranchers, food sovereignty champions, scholarship seekers, substance abuse recovery populations, holders of community well-being knowledge, and also Tribal leaders, funders, policymakers, and so many more. Alongside each organization, we co-create a process that takes some or all of the load off while building your communications capacity for the long run.

Whatever the reason you’re thinking about outsourcing—interim staff changes, a need for greater consistency, or campaign and social media strategy know-how—working with us through a monthly, special program, or one-off event contract gives you a team of seasoned brand professionals and communications strategists in your corner. We create and plan content that speaks to your intended audience and advances your brand awareness and outreach goals. Your situation is different from everyone else’s, so we combine services and scope to meet your specific needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Social Media Management

Q: Do you provide social media management for nonprofits and Tribal organizations?
A: Yes. Social media management is a core service at Orca Design Group. We work with nonprofits, Tribal organizations, Native-led enterprises, federally funded programs, university-partnered collaborations, and mission-driven organizations of all kinds. Our social media work is rooted in your core values and brand strategy—so every post reflects your voice, your values, and your mission.

Q: Do you work with state or federally funded programs that have reporting and communications requirements?
A: Yes. We have extensive experience supporting programs funded through foundation, state, federal grants and operated through Native collaborations, often in partnership with universities. We understand the communications standards and visibility expectations these programs carry, and we help organizations meet them with consistent, on-brand content.

Q: What social media platforms do you manage?
A: We work across the platforms most relevant to your audience — most commonly Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Depending on your goals and community, we can also support YouTube, Threads, BlueSky, and others. Platform selection is part of the strategy conversation we have at the start of every engagement.

Q: Do you create all of the content, and do you schedule it?
A: It’s a collaboration. We might start by working together on the content strategy and calendar, then your team could produce the text on certain items, we then merge it with graphics or video, you approve it and then we publish it.

Q: How do you maintain our brand voice on social media?
A: Every engagement begins with a deep understanding of your brand — your messaging, your tone, your audiences, and your goals. Your voice is not something we approximate. It’s something we steward.

Q: Do you offer social media support for one-time campaigns or events, or only ongoing management?
A: Both. We work with clients on ongoing monthly management contracts and on project-based engagements for launches, events, advocacy campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and grant-funded program communications.

Q: Do you serve clients nationwide?
A: Yes. We serve organizations across the United States. Our work is not limited by geography.

Q: How do I get started?
A: Contact us through our website and share a bit about your organization and what you’re looking for. We’ll connect to learn more about your goals and put together a scope that fits. We’d love to help.

Communications Content

There are so many ways to tell your story — and we can help you do it well. As an extension of our digital and branding services, we provide brand-focused content creation, core-messaging development, and copy editing and alignment. You know your community, your culture, and your voice better than anyone — we work with what you bring us, combining your content with brand-aligned visuals and editorial refinement so every piece looks and sounds like you, whether it lives online or in print.
Core messaging often accompanies a new brand or website project, but it can just as easily refresh an existing one — giving your team a clear, consistent framework to roll out across all your communications.
Blogs, articles, case studies, and press releases are valuable tools in any communications strategy. We help you shape and amplify content that attracts, acquires, and engages your intended audiences — purposeful storytelling that works as hard as you do.
